About this Event
Community organising and coffee – part 2
Join us for another informal information session – coffee, cake and good chat provided!
Citizens UK is a Community Organising charity, bringing together everyday people and local organisations including faith groups, schools, universities, and service providers to build a better, fairer society.
The University of Manchester is a member organisation of Greater Manchester (GM) Citizens, working in partnership for the common good and social justice. Through the method of broad-based community organising, we work with local leaders to win change and strengthen their communities.
This session will build on part 1 but please come along if you are interested (even if you didn’t attend part 1)!
In this session:
· Take part in taster sessions on community organising – including exploring principles of community organising, power and relational leadership.
· Explore how community organising might support your work.
· Find out how you can get involved in future opportunities to support community organising.
