They work on building playgrounds, restocking libraries, creating food pantries, donating books to schools, sponsoring the "Reading is Fundamental Program," stuffing backpacks with school supplies, promoting first aid/CPR training AND SO MUCH MORE! Across the globe, members stage approximately 150,000 service projects, and raise nearly $100 million every year for communities, families and projects.
The Nebraska Iowa District was founded in 1920 and has more than a century of service to the communities across two states with 140 clubs and 4,000 members. Members include men and women of all ages, faiths, and employment status. Many of their clubs sponsor a Kiwanis family club, K-Kids for primary school children, Builders Clubs for adolescents; Key Clubs for teens; Circle K clubs for university students and Aktion Clubs for adults living with disabilities.
