Pride YMM acknowledges that the land we occupy is nistawâyâw, within Treaty 8, the traditional territory of the Cree and Dene Nations and the unceded homeland of the Métis people. We recognize and honour all the Indigenous people, especially Two Spirit people, who have stewarded this land for time immemorial prior to first contact, and who continue to resist oppressive colonial definitions of sexuality and gender to this day.
