The American Legion is the largest veteran's organization with nearly 3 million members. Chartered by Congress in1919, American Legion serves veterans and the community. Post 290 annually sponsors two to four Sumner County High School students at Boys State, where these young men learn what is involved in becoming future community leaders. Approximately 600 young men from across Tennessee spend a week in May at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. Using funds we raise through various efforts, we have provided thousands of dollars in direct assistance to veterans and their families. Additionally, we assist veterans in Senior Care Centers in Hendersonville as liaison with the Veterans Service Officer for Sumner County. Come out and show some support to our Veterans! Pizza Ranch will donate 10% of the sales from 5pm - 8pm on all dine in and carry out orders during that time.
