About this Event
Community Hope & Healing Thanksgiving Concert
As the holiday season approaches—a time that can be especially difficult for those facing financial or emotional hardship—Bates Memorial Baptist Church will host a Community Hope & Healing Thanksgiving Concert featuring Pastor John P. Kee on November 21, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This free community event invites attendees to donate a non-perishable food item to help provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need through the Bates Community Development Corporation (CDC).
More than an evening of music, the concert is a ministry of encouragement, empowerment, and unity, designed to uplift spirits and strengthen families across Louisville. Through worship, outreach, and community engagement, Bates Memorial—located in the historic Smoketown neighborhood—has served as a beacon of faith and hope for over 111 years, particularly among low-to-moderate income (LMI) families.
Proceeds and sponsorship support will help create a life-giving event that restores faith, fosters connection, and reminds every attendee that their life and community matter. Together, Bates Memorial and its CDC continue to bring hope, healing, and holistic transformation to individuals and families throughout Louisville and beyond.
We hope to see you there.
