Strongsville UMC has contracted with Help Build Hope (HBH) for their services providing equipment, training, and processes to build all walls needed for a Habitat for Humanity home in Cleveland, Ohio. We will build the wall sections right here on the north parking lot of SUMC! Then we will load them onto a flatbed truck and deliver them to the Habitat for Humanity warehouse to await use at a new home site.Cleveland Habitat for Humanity revitalizes Cuyahoga county neighborhoods and helps local hard-working, low-income families help themselves create strength, stability, and home ownership. SUMC has supported Habitat with volunteer hours for several years now.
No construction experience is necessary! All you need is a desire to bring the dream of a home to a family in need. There are a number of jobs for all abilities.
Ages 16+ are welcome without an adult. Ages 11-15 must have an adult on site.
