Create a holiday memory driving through the magical display of lights at the Community Holiday Light Show in Historic Ballou Park! People of all ages love attending and experiencing the holiday spirit in the air. The show is December 12-23, 6-9 p.m. nightly. Admission is $10 for cars, $20 for vans & minibuses. Tickets are sold at the gate; cash and cards are accepted. Children's Village is included in the price of the show admission and is open nightly. It is located at the end of the show route inside Ballou Recreation Center. Children's Village features pictures with Santa upstairs. Downstairs in the recreation center is hot chocolate, cookies, a train model display from the Danville Train Modelers Club, and various activities. Check the schedule often for special activities happening inside Children's Village. The 2024 Community Holiday Light Show ornament will be sold inside Children's Village along with a limited number of previous year ornaments.
Displays are created by businesses and organizations in the community. Each display designated a local non-profit to win a monetary donation if their display places in the "Best in Show" votes by the visitors to the show. Each vehicle receives one vote that is turned in at the end of the display route. There is no cost to enter a display into the show. If you are interested in building a display, call (434) 857-3384.
