NEW monthly day time Herb Club meetings. Subsidised by the funds awarded to us from the Co-Op Local Community Fund.The Fenland Natural Health herbalists in collaboration with the owner of the fabulous 3 acre wild country setting where we have previously hosted foraging workshops, are hosting this new offering. It is a special opportunity to learn from qualified herbalists, and working hands on with our wonderful local native plants. The exact location will be emailed to participants in the run up to each scheduled date.
At these herb study sessions we will be doing plant identification strolls around the grounds, identifying the plants that you would like to explore in more depth and encourage observation of the plants cycle through the seasons. This will include discussion on the plants character, attributes, and how to use them medicinally. Options will include being able to draw and photograph our chosen plants, undertake a tree study, write notes and/or create a diary and start a herbarium or scrapbook. During this time together we may also enjoy making herbal infusions, poultices, and enjoy mediation in an amazingly relaxing place.
It won’t matter if it rains as part of our time will be spent in the large outdoor kitchen/ workspace which provides plenty of shelter from the elements. However, please dress for the weather and bring wellies, notebooks, and any drawing materials etc. that you would like to use.
To aid us with our planning we are asking people to book in advance either directly with us, or via Eventbrite. It will be held on the fourth or fifth Thursday afternoon of the month April to October, 2pm to 4pm- £10 per month. Commencing on June 27th
