About this Event
We're looking for anyone who's interested in gardening, organic food growing, conservation, wildlife, permaculture, meeting others in their community and who wants to join a Wandsworth community group. Our volunteer sessions begin with a free workshop linked to sustainable, organic, no-dig food growing and gardening for biodiversity. These workshops start promptly at 10am. After the workshop, volunteers will join in with tasks such as seed sowing, hedge planting or crop harvesting. Produce is grown at Paradise Cooperative as part of our Community Food Programme, supporting those who need it in our community. All equipment is provided.
All ages and experience levels are welcome to our volunteer sessions but all under - 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Children attending are the sole responsibility of their parent / carer throughout the session.
We have a small apiary on site so we advise anyone attending with a known bee allergy or risk of an allergic reaction to bring their Medic*tion with them. We do not keep epi-pens on site and our staff are not liable to administer them because it is a prescribed Medic*tion.
Places are limited so if you are unable to attend please do make sure to cancel your booking so someone else can volunteer!
If you have any questions at all please email [email protected]
