Community Grief Fire Circle
If you are carrying grief, searching for understanding, support, and a place to be held just as you are, this space is for you.
Grief does not ask permission. It arrives through many doorways: the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a dream, a season of life, or a part of ourselves we once knew. In our Community Grief Fire Circle, we gather to honor all of it.
This is a safe, sacred, and supportive space where nothing needs to be fixed or explained. You do not need the right words. You do not need to be “ready.” You are welcome exactly as you are.
If this is your first time joining a grief circle, please know there is no expectation to share or participate in any particular way. You are welcome to simply sit by the fire, listen, and be held by the circle. Your presence alone is enough.
We gather around the fire to slow down, to breathe, and to be witnessed in our grief—together.
What This Circle Holds:
Sacred Space for Grief
We open a gentle container where grief is allowed to exist in its own way. There may be silence, tears, stories, laughter, or simply sitting by the fire. All of it belongs.
Sharing & Witnessing
Those who feel called may share where they are in their grief journey. This might come as words, memories, poetry, song, or quiet presence. Sharing is always optional. Listening is an offering.
Candle Lighting & Remembrance
We will light candles in honor of what has been lost and what is still loved. Each flame becomes a prayer, a remembering.
Memorial Altar
You are invited to bring a photo or small item that represents your loss. Together we create a community altar—holding love, memory, and connection.
Grief looks different for each of us. There is no comparison, no hierarchy of loss. Whatever you are grieving is valid. In this circle, we walk beside one another—without judgment, without advice—just presence and care.
Comfort and Warmth
A drink station with hot chocolate, tea, and water will be available throughout the evening to support warmth and comfort as we gather around the fire.
What to Bring:
A camp chair
Dress warmly for the evening weather
A memorial item or photo for the altar (optional)
Anything you feel called to share- a poem, song, object, or simply your presence
Bring only what feels right for you. Everything shared in circle is held with care.
This is an ongoing monthly Community Grief Circle, held on the third Thursday of every month from 6:30–8:30 PM. This circle exists to consistently hold sacred space specifically for grief—a place you can return to again and again as your grief changes, softens, or deepens. Each gathering strengthens connection, trust, and healing within the community, reminding us that grief is not something to move through alone, but something that can be gently carried together.

A Personal Note from Danelle
I have experienced loss in many forms throughout my life, but nothing carried me as deeply into the depths of grief as the unexpected death of my husband in a tractor trailer accident August 8th, 2019.
That loss changed everything.
It has been a long and unfamiliar journey—navigating unknown territory, feeling the full spectrum of emotion, trying to decide which way to go, what to do, and how to rebuild a life I never imagined living without him. Some days were heavy and disorienting. Many were filled with obstacles and uncertainty. And some days, even now, still are.
Yet within that darkness, light slowly began to appear.
Over time, moments of joy and peace found their way through the veil of grief. I learned that grief does not disappear—it transforms. Today, while I still face challenges, I have moved through many of them. I stand more centered, peaceful, stronger, and wiser, with a heart full of love and gratitude. I have reclaimed my voice. I have healed through many layers of loss, and I carry practices that continue to support my healing, expansion, and growth.
What I have come to understand is that much of life involves grieving—grieving loved ones, relationships, roles, versions of ourselves, and the way things once were. I have learned how to grow through pain rather than avoid it. How to feel grief fully, honor it, and allow it to move. My grief is sacred. My grief is gratitude.
Part of my life’s journey now is to hold space for you as you grieve—to walk alongside you as you reclaim the pieces you may have left behind, and discover the parts of yourself not yet known. I invite you to deepen into your healing, find peace, and step across the threshold into joy. Together, we can allow grief to soften into gratitude—gratitude that comes when grief is fully expressed and we begin to see the gifts within what was loved and lost.
Nature has been a profound companion in this journey. In the stillness and beauty of nature, I have found clarity, healing, and guidance. It is where I hear the quiet whispers of my soul, receive wisdom, and remember who I am. Nature has helped me carry forward the lessons, strength, and courage born from grief, and reclaim the parts of myself I once set aside.
It would be an honor to hold space for you here.
With much love,
Danelle
