COMMUNITY GARDENING - Pinces Gardens - The Future is Green!

Community Gardening event to plan, prepare and grow our FUTURE Wellbeing Garden!
Where: The neglected corner (formally the Rose Garden) Pinces Road entrance, Pinces Gardens.
Who: We are an informal gardening group, part of Cowick Roots and Recreation community group - David will be running your session today. EVERYONE WELCOME!
When: Saturday morning. Come for as long as you like!
Tasks:
We need help with weeding over the bed we cleared & mulched last year, and some heavier clearing work in other beds - tasks are allocated according to your needs and ability.
We also need ideas and contributions to future garden plans - for funding and organisation. If you want to pop down to meet us and find out more, we'd love to meet you.
Bad weather:
We want to build momentum with regular meet ups for the group, so if its bad weather, Jen will be under a gazebo, or in the Birdhouse making plans for the garden, feel free to join for coffee and bring your ideas...
You don't have to put in physical graft to be involved, if that is not possible for you for whatever reason, we do need folks with other skills to realise our dream. Our group members are diverse in age and abilities, and all have something to offer! Everyone in the group shares the desire to transform a neglected corner of Pinces Gardens into a thriving Community Space, for wildlife and community. If that sounds like a bit of you, we would love to hear from you!
Feel free to turn up for as long as you like, even if it's just for a chat and a cuppa and learn more about our group!
What you need:
If you want to help with gardening, bring tools and gardening gloves if you have them, wear sensible clothing and shoes. Bring a snack and water if you like, we do have a kettle, we will stop for a hot drink, so bring a mug, and the Birdhouse Café will be open! We also welcome cake if anyone wants to bake one! :)
