Community Film Screening - Meet The Family That Sticks Together
Friends, family, and neigbors! Come join us at the Bed-Stuy Community Garden for a heartwarming film screening and fellowship event!
Synopsis: As the Lane siblings and family rummage through memories kept in shoeboxes, kitchen drawers, and photobooks, they discover that their fading Sunday dinner tradition is tied to their parents' involvement in the lesser-known history of Black-American social clubs in Hampton Roads, Virginia, inspiring the next generation to safeguard a nearly century-old legacy. Filmmaker Taylor Dews narrates this nostalgic and heartwarming story for her little cousins.
