Please do pop in, find a spare bench, and enjoy the beautiful space. If you are feeling energetic, there will be a list of things that need some attention and some gardening tools for anyone wishing to help. This is a great activity for children. One of the greatest joys of our Community Garden is seeing the enthusiasm and curiosity of young minds at work. By welcoming children into our garden, giving them the chance to learn about growing food, caring for the land and local wildlife, we are in our small way helping to sow the seeds of a more sustainable future.Truly, age is no barrier to gardening – our garden has been built by volunteers from 2-92 years old!
Community Gardeners meet on a Tuesday afternoon, 2pm-3pm gardening and 3pm-4pm tea and biscuits. All welcome, our entrance is in Sefton Road.
We are delighted to announce that from June onwards, St. Mildred’s Community Garden will be open on the first Saturday morning of the month.
1st June, 6th July, 3rd August, 7th September, 5th October.
