Join our friendly urban farmers for our Tīhema (Decemeber) Community Working Bee which makes up part of our monthly Community Open Day. Celebrate the start of summer by getting your hands in the soil, breathing the fresh air, and meeting cool folks. We’ll carry out farm and composting tasks, have a yarn, eat snacks, and maybe even have a jam. So, if you’re musically inclined please bring your instruments. We'll provide snacks, music, tools and tips. You bring the laughter, energy and willingness to learn new skills for growing kai. Please make sure to sign up using the registration link below, so we can get hold of you should we need to cancel due to weather!

ABOUT KAICYCLE
Kaicycle is a regenerative and organic urban farm and composting enterprise in Pōneke/Wellington.
We use techniques and models to productively grow food in the city while working with natural systems to regenerate soil and produce nutrient-dense food. The food we produce is sold via a Community Supported Agriculture scheme, shared with volunteers and donated to community food projects. Our composting enterprise takes compostable scraps from homes, offices and small businesses and recycles them into living compost. We offer a bicycle-powered food scraps collection service that operates in Wellington City and the surrounding suburbs.
KAICYCLE COMMUNITY OPEN DAYS
On the first Saturday of each month throughout spring, summer, and autumn Kaicycle is hosting a Community Open Day! Each month our open day includes a working bee, farm tour, koha workshop, and a table with a range of produce, compost, and seedlings for sale. Come along for as much or as little of the day as you would like and keep an eye out for additional community day activities such as yoga, arts and crafts, and music in the māra.
