Join our friendly urban farmers for our May Community Working Bee! We’ll carry out farm and composting tasks, have a yarn, eat snacks, and maybe even have a jam. So, if you’re musically inclined please bring your instruments. We'll provide snacks, music, tools and tips. You bring the laughter, energy and willingness to learn new skills for growing kai. Kaicycle is a regenerative and organic urban farm and composting enterprise in Pōneke/Wellington.
We use techniques and models to productively grow food in the city while working with natural systems to regenerate soil and produce nutrient-dense food. The food we produce is sold via a Community Supported Agriculture scheme, shared with volunteers and donated to community food projects. Our composting enterprise takes compostable scraps from homes, offices and small businesses and recycles them into living compost. We offer a bicycle-powered food scraps collection service that operates in Wellington City and the surrounding suburbs.
