A Community Emergency Hub has been established at Te Matauru Primary.A Community Emergency Hub is a place where you and your neighbours can gather to help each other in a major emergency and work out what to do next.
On Friday 21 February, come along to Te Matauru Primary to learn more about your Community Emergency Hub, how to properly prepare for an emergency, and find out what resources you have available locally in Rangiora.
Practice your ‘drop, cover, hold’ technique in the ‘shaky house’ earthquake simulator 🌍 and get in the draw to win a first aid kit.
Our Civil Defence team will be joined by local emergency responders from Fire and Emergency NZ 🚒 and Hato Hone St John 🚑, as well as North Canterbury Neighbourhood Support 👥.
This is an essential event to help your household and community prepare for unexpected emergencies. Bring your family, meet your neighbours, and take steps to protect your loved ones.
