A deep dive to develop children and teen’s social and emotial capacities

- there are 2 roads to be travelled when building an emotionally connected family or classroom. The first is a delightfully informal approach called, ‘Guided Social Interactions’ and the second is a more formal style using the resources/principles from a ready built program as ‘What’s the Buzz?’

The workshop introduces "Guided social interactions," fun yet purposeful techniques to enhance Social and Emotional Literacy in children and teens. It focuses on building teamwork, empathy, leadership, and other skills for home and school use, offering practical take-away ideas.?

A good guide to understand and work effectively with ‘mis’behaviour

The 4- goals of 'mis 'behaviour – savvy ways to re-interpret, re-classify and work with tricky behaviour; through a positive behaviour support lens.

Mark discusses how environmental stressors, digital overload, and societal dynamics impact children's emotional well-being and behavior, emphasizing the need for educators and caregivers to understand and support young people facing challenges. The workshop introduces PBIS WORLD, an evidence-based resource for positive behavioral interventions. It aims to equip participants with strategies to address difficult behaviors and emotional struggles in children respectfully and effectively.

WEDNESDAY 4th September 2024 6 PM-9 PM
‘Guiding Kids Through the TOUGH MOMENTS’

Techniques to build a space where children can thrive

The workshop is based on Mark's book about guiding kids through tough moments. It offers understanding, guidance, and optimism beyond creating happy families or obedient children. The goal is to navigate tricky moments with children, fostering trust and respect. The approach involves accountability with a counterculture mindset that connects leadership with kindness. The workshop aims to inspire using this technique to safeguard a young person's spirit by separating emotions from their potential.

The ‘ART’ of developing healthy communication patterns

The power of words – building skills and an awareness that they help, hinder, or hurt

The workshop aims to teach young people communication skills emphasizing respect and effective dialogue. It highlights the impact of language and gestures on building trust and resolving conflicts. Encouraging conscious language choices, tone awareness, and peaceful problem-solving are key. Modeling positive communication and handling difficult conversations are essential for adults coaching young individuals. Developing relational language patterns is a crucial, teachable skill for nurturing future generations.
