Come Join me at the monthly "Community Drum Circle" at Naturally By Nature. This is open to all levels of playing, whether you're brand new or a seasoned drummer. Bring any instrument you have or several to share. We always have plenty to choose from. You can always clap with the music and make your own sounds!I will be the special guest for this month. I will be teaching drum instruction at 6:30 p.m. before the Drumming begins at 7:00 p.m. I will cover some of the basics and foundations of drumming, such as finding the heartbeat, making the connection with your drum, and drum circle etiquette. This will be a donation-based class drum circle.
Drum circles offer several benefits, both for individuals and communities. They help bring people together, fostering a sense of connection and belonging. They're also great for stress relief, as they reduce tension through physical exercise and increase blood flow. Drumming is a great way to slip into meditation with a repetitive rhythm, which can help improve mood and potentially alleviate symptoms of depression, enhance focus, and promote mindfulness.
This will be a donation-based event, with 20% of proceeds going to a different charity every month. This month's proceeds will go to the Highland County Homeless Shelter.
Who they are: Here at Highland County Homeless Shelter, we know that sometimes it takes a little support to change the world. Since our founding in 2000, we have been determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we are involved in. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs.
Please bring:
* a drum or any instrument (if none, we will share ours)
* a blanket or chair to sit on
* water or snacks
