Community Drum Circle at Montgomery Hall Park It's time to head back outside to enjoy our drumming magic!
Gathering to occur on Sunday, May 26th starting at 3pm.
Drum Circle is free to attend and no prior experience is needed.
Things to note:
- Greg will plan to secure one of the picnic shelters on the back side of the park. You may have to drive/walk to find the correct shelter.
- Please bring any drum or rhythm instruments you would like to use. There will be a small number of extra instruments available. Non-rhythm instruments are ok to bring (guitar, horns, etc) but please note this gathering is about rhythm and not playing songs per se.
- The shelters provide some benches but you might also consider bring a chair or blanket. Please bring water for yourself.
- This event is intended to be family friendly. Please behave accordingly.
- Drum Circle will occur rain or shine.
- Dancing and other artistic expressions are welcome.
- Drum circle is free to attend. (donations are accepted to help keep it going)
After beginning with a brief moment of silence to bring us all together, the drum circle will mostly unfold in an organic fashion, with no one technically leading or orchestrating the circle. Instead we will allow the collective energies to move the sound where it would like to go.
