Join the ASU School of Music, Dance and Theatre and BlakTinx Dance Festival for a free community dance workshop with guest artist Joan Rodriguez. Rodriguez is a Cuban-born dancer, choreographer and educator known for blending Afro-Latin, contemporary and multimedia styles in dynamic, community-driven work. Currently the rehearsal director at BODYTRAFFIC, Rodriguez performed at BlakTinx Phoenix’s inaugural show in 2017 and has since shared his dance-for-camera work in our online festivals. We are thrilled to welcome him back to Phoenix to help kick off the ASU and BlakTinx 2025-26 dance seasons!
