This month we will be joining other crafting groups around West Sussex to make small white knitted or crocheted hearts. These will be given out at railway stations on White Ribbon Day (26th November) to raise awareness of the campaign to end violence against women and girls.
The hearts will be collected and distributed by the Southeast Community Rail Partnership, who have issued a plea to all knit and natter groups and community crafters locally to contribute as many white hearts as possible.
We'll provide all the yarn, and we have a good stock of knitting needles and crochet hooks, but do bring your own tools if you have a favourite. Patterns are provided but you can use your own if you prefer - it just needs to be under 10cm. (There will also, of course, be plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits!)
This session is free to attend, partly due to funding from the WSCC Waste Prevention Grant Fund. But please do book a space so we know how many people to expect.
