The theme for the next Lexington Chamber’s Community Conversation series is "Advancing Community Well-Being." Three committed not-for-profit agency leaders will discuss how they successfully fill critical service gaps and extend care for those in need in our community during the months of October, November, and December.

We are all aware that substance misuse does not discriminate and impacts each of us. Join LRADAC’s President & CEO Wendy Hughes for an inside look at how the organization has leveraged partnerships to meet patients where they are in our community.Her presentation will highlight LRADAC’s collaborative approach—from having staff stationed onsite at organizations like Lexington Health and Lexington Mental Health to delivering essential prevention programs in our schools and neighborhoods.Attendees will discover how the community is benefiting from these innovative strategies and will be encouraged to help drive the conversation to build a community that embraces recovery.

ABOUT WENDY HUGHES:
Wendy Hughes has 20 years of experience in non-profit and healthcare administration, including 13 years as Vice President and CFO at LRADAC.
Hughes graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1995 and obtained her MBA from USC in 1999. She started her career in direct care for children at Epworth Children's Home and later worked as a case manager in therapeutic foster care. In addition to her role at LRADAC, Hughes is a surveyor for the international accrediting body CARF and a graduate of Leadership Columbia.
