About this Event
Join the Levine Museum of the New South and the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute in a community dialogue about wealth and economic mobility in Charlotte. Share your perspectives and thoughts on the struggles of building wealth, economic growth, and what we might do to find solutions. Why did Charlotte rank 50th out of 50 of the nation’s largest metro areas for economic mobility (Chetty Study, 2014)? How does the distribution of wealth in our area impact our communities? Use your voice as we ask these questions and more.
Community Conversations is designed for an audience of forward-facing problem solvers and individuals who want to create change in their community. It encourages round-table dialogue amongst attendees and guest panelists, prompted by conversation starters aligned with the evening's theme. This series explores themes of interest to local communities and creates space for intentional conversations that enlighten and spark change.
