What to Expect:
Panel Discussion – Hear insights from local leaders in education, workforce development, and higher education, including:
Dr. Yolanda Burnett-Lankford from the City of Baton Rouge
Chancellor Dr. Willie E. Smith from Baton Rouge Community College
Rhonda Irwin-Ikechukwu from the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition
Tramelle Howard from the Education Trust
Carla Powell-Lewis and Dadrius Lanus from the East Baton Rouge School Board - Districts 2 and 3
Theo Richard from the Capital Area Transit System.
Small Group Breakouts – Dive into focused conversations on career-connected learning, nontraditional pathways, and systemic barriers.
Community Share – A “Pass the Mic” session where participants bring their perspectives and ideas back to the whole group.
*Dinner and Childcare - Dinner will be provided, and childcare will be available for children ages 2-12. Children must be potty-trained.
