Community Conversation

Join us as we explore the question: How can I grow in my artistic career as an immigrant artist on Staten Island?

In partnership with New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), this conversation will gather immigrant artists across Staten Island to share opportunities as well as address the areas of opportunity and challenges they face related to their creative and cultural practices. NYFA will share an overview of their free and low-cost programs and resources relevant to immigrant artists, such as the Immigrant Artist Resource Center and Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program. Light refreshments will be provided. 

This event is open to Staten Island artists and creatives of all disciplines and career stages who identify as immigrants. Event will be held in English with live interpretation in Spanish.

The ideas and conversations discussed in this event will be used by Staten Island Arts to inform future programming co-created with Staten Island-based immigrant artists.

This event is part of our recently-launched program Our Space, an artist-centered program designed to meet the individual and collective needs of Staten Island artists and grow collectivism from shore-to-shore.
