Do you feel emboldened by showing up as part of the community at rallies, yet lost when it comes to enacting tangible change?

Do you feel betrayed as Democrats continue to hand the country over to authoritarianism, and unsure what to do as fascism expands rapidly around us?

Do you feel ashamed that liberals were mostly silent as Biden and Harris sponsored a holocaust in Gaza -
disillusioned by the reality that both parties are funded and leashed by the same billionaire class?
Do you long to be a part of creating meaningful change in our community that will ripple out?

** It's time to move beyond symbolic protest toward impactful action. **

A collective of Northern Michiganders will be hosting a conversation about how we might work together going forward to create a culture of care and protection as systems collapse and leaders fail to serve.
This is a free community event that is open to all.

“We are at a moment right now where people are asking themselves why can’t the Democratic Party defend this assault on democracy... and I would submit to you that if you can’t draw the line at genocide, you probably can’t draw the line at democracy.”
- Ta-Nehisi Coates

"Gaza has become the moral compass of the world. I want you to look in the mirror and ask:
'Where was I when Gaza was going through a genocide?"
- Rev. Munther Isaac

"And then one fine day the bourgeoisie is awakened by a terrific boomerang effect: the gestapos are busy, the prisons fill up, the torturers standing around the racks invent, refine, discuss. People are surprised, they become indignant. They say: 'How strange!
But never mind—it's Nazism, it will pass!' And they wait, and they hope; and they hide the truth from themselves, that it is barbarism, the supreme barbarism, the crowning barbarism that sums up all the daily barbarisms; that it is Nazism, yes, but that before they were its victims, they were its accomplices; that they tolerated that Nazism before it was inflicted on them, that they absolved it, shut their eyes to it, legitimized it, because, until then, it had been applied only to non-European peoples; that they have cultivated that Nazism, that they are responsible for it, and that before engulfing the whole edifice of Western, Christian civilization in its reddened waters, it oozes, seeps, and trickles from every crack.”
- Aimé Césaire, Discourse on Colonialism (1950)
