Contra dancing is a high-energy, social American folk tradition that transforms a room of strangers into a vibrant community. No fancy footwork or prior experience is required.
Contra will strengthen your physical health and human connections simultaneously. Once the music starts, you'll find yourself immersed in the flow of the dance, in sync with a room full of people, creating a shared energy that keeps you in the moment.
Our community dance highlights dances that are easy to learn and especially geared to those who may be attending a contra dance for the first time.
Each dance is carefully taught. Wear comfortable shoes and casual clothes. Water bottles are recommended.
We're geared to be inclusive of all ages. Come by yourself or with friends - no partner nor experience needed!
Suggested Contribution: $15-$25, under 16 years-FREE
