Join the composting community at Arden Community GardenIn Halton, more than a third of our household waste is food. Instead of throwing it in the bin, let's turn it into compost instead!
You are invited to join a new community compost site at Arden Community Garden.
The scheme is free to join, and you will get a countertop kitchen caddy for transporting your food waste into the compost bin.
We also welcome new volunteers interested in learning more about the composting process and getting involved in the garden.
The compost produced will be used to improve the community garden and you can take some for the plants at your home.
Come and find out more on Wednesday 22nd October at 2pm in the Garden outside flats 11-22.
You can contact us via email at [email protected] and through our Facebook page if you would like to join the scheme, or in person at the garden every Wednesday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm
The compost site is set up by Compost Works, a Liverpool-based social enterprise with a mission to divert food waste from incineration and landfill. The project is funded by Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority.
