Location: Ruth Sokolof Theater
Date: Oct 11

We invite you to a special screening of They Cloned Tyrone in collaboration with The House of Afros, Capes & Curls. Though this incredible film never had a theatrical release, you'll have the chance to see it on the big screen, followed by an engaging discussion on the history, characteristics, and impact of Afrofuturism in both the art world and our community.
This screening serves as a lead-up to AfroCon, a fantastic event hosted by The House of Afros, Capes & Curls, celebrating diversity, creativity, and the power of fandom. AfroCon will take place the following day (Oct 12) at Metropolitan Community College's Fort Omaha Campus.
About the film
A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy lurking directly beneath their neighborhood. Starring John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx, this directorial debut from director/screenwriter Juel Taylor (Creed II, Space Jam: A New Legacy) takes an Afro-surrealist approach to Black cinema.
