👋 Come one come all to the next community Clothing Swap! Come give any unwanted clothes a chance at being new✨ to someone else. Skip the middle man of the thrift stores and engage in connecting with people and our clothes. Eliminate clothing waste (since most clothes get thrown into landfills when you take them to thrift stores or Goodwill). Eliminate the incessant destruction of fast fashion by circulating clothes within the community that you live and knowing that any un-donatable items will definitely be sent for recycling.
A little bit of how it works:
- 👕 Bring as much clothes, take as much clothes. (Dropping off clothes ahead of the event is encouraged. Please message me to coordinate)
- 💱 A $10 fee will go towards the studio
- 🛍️ all remaining clothes will be donated to Deacon's Closet or Sister Carmen
- ♻️ all undonatable items will be recycled via For Days closed loop textile recycling program
-🧞 all gender styles and sizes of clothing are encouraged and welcome (including kids and maternity. Sizes above a US 8 are super encouraged to bring clothes!)
- 🎶 local musicians will play some sets for jams and good times!
- 🪡 seamstresses from Vacuums R Us & Sewing Too will be present to help mend and alter any swap finds.
- If you're available to help, the fee will be waived and you can sign up for volunteer shifts! (help needed especially before and after the swap)
