About this Event
Join artist, Jacob Limon, and curator, Audrey Bùi, for a cyanotype printing workshop. Learn about the process of cyanotyping, also known as sun-printing, a camera-less style of photography. You will be able to make your own prints to take home! Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own materials to be printed on such as cotton t-shirts or canvas tote bags. Printing must be done on natural fibers and the chemicals used in this process can stain clothes!
This event is done as a part of the Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association (VAALA) proudly presents here/there: chúng tôi, its 2024 Gallery Without Walls Exhibition curated by Audrey Bùi. The exhibition examines the transformative power of care within one's community, expressed through various artistic mediums, and the way in which art can both simultaneously challenge and nurture tradition. Featured artists include Anh Nguyễn, Anh Thy Hoang, Ann Phong, Chau Nguyễn, Julia Huỳnh, Michael Thế Khôi Trần, Nguyễn Thị Phương-Lan, and Veronica Y Phạm.
