On his release from prison, Jake Blues (John Belushi) is reunited with his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd). They discover that they only have a few days to raise enough money to save the Catholic children's home where they were raised, so they decide to reunite their old R&B band. Pursued by the police and various other unsavoury characters, they wreak havoc across Chicago on their "mission from God".With guest appearances from James Brown, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Carrie Fisher, Twiggy and many others, this is a musical comedy that is a delight from start to glorious finish. A true classic; if you have not yet seen this movie then you really need to, and if you have then come and enjoy it again, and feel free to sing along.
