The Sixpenny Handley Village Hall team is delighted to be teaming up with the team from St Mary’s Church for our final craft fair of the year. Combining our usual Christmas Craft Fair with the Church’s annual Advent Fayre, we promise there will be something for everyone! Our Community Christmas Craft Fair will be held on Saturday 7 December. We have 20+ traders attending, selling a wonderful selection of Christmas gifts including leather, needlefelt, wool and wood goods; jewellery; soaps, creams and wax melts; cards and tags; plus preserves, jams and chutneys.
The Church team will be running the kitchen and will have some delicious homemade festive food on sale accompanied by their famous mulled wine for those who wish to get in the Christmas spirit! They will also have their usual array of Christmas cakes and puddings on sale and will be running a raffle in aid of the Church fabric fund.
The children’s choir from Sixpenny Handley First School will be performing during the event as will members of the choir from St Mary’s Church and we hope to have some other live festive music as well – watch this space for further details! There will be lots for the children to do, with our craft activity area on the stage, plus Santa’s post box will be at the hall for those youngsters who wish to get their letters to the great man at the North Pole in time for Christmas!
We’ll be open an hour longer than usual – from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm - so why not come and have lunch in the warmth of our little meeting room. Have a pre-Christmas catch up with your friends and neighbours over a glass of warming mulled wine (soft drinks, tea and coffee also available) all whilst shopping for some unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones! Soup and sandwiches will be on sale along with the usual array of delicious homemade fayre that the Church team is renowned for.
