Get Creative with Clay: A Handbuliding Skillshare Workshop

Curious about ceramics? Join us for a hands-on pottery workshop focused on clay handbuilding—a traditional, wheel-free technique where you’ll shape and mold clay using only your hands, bodies, and simple tools.

Workshop Details

What is Handbuilding?
Handbuilding is a pottery technique that doesn’t require a wheel. With basic tools and plenty of creativity, you’ll learn to craft unique and functional pieces. No experience is necessary, however, those with experience are encouraged to share.

What’s Included?
  • Enough clay for a unique piece (cup, bowl, or similar)
  • Access to various ceramic tools
  • Guidance from experienced organizers and the chance to learn with fellow participants
  • Skill-sharing in a collaborative environment

Your Work, Fully Fired

Your glazed ceramics will be fired and ready for pickup within 2–4 weeks. You'll receive an email notification when your piece is ready. You will need to pick this up. We can ship for an additional fee. If you opt to glaze your piece we will hold onto it for you until your glazing session.

Event Time & Location

📅 Date: Multiple sessions available in 2025⏰ Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (check-in begins at 6:45 PM)📍 Location: Woodbine Community Space, 585 Woodward Avenue, Ridgewood, Queens

Ages 8+ are welcome!
