
About this Event
A professional development, networking, and community mobilizing event to help prevent, reduce, and treat parental substance use. This event will include a documentary screening of Forest for the Trees (https://www.gochromacreative.com/forestforthetrees) to illustrate the complexities surrounding maternal substance use; Q&A with experts in the field; small group networking and brainstorming guided discussions; and a panel discussion on the policies and practices that help or hinder our efforts to reduce parental substance use. The panel will include representation from individuals with lived experience as well as professionals who represent child welfare, criminal justice, policy and legislation, community-based recovery services, and mental health.
