Facilitated by Lisa MorinGather in community with Mama Cacao as we welcome the turning of the year, stepping into a season of renewal, gratitude, and new beginnings.
This heart-opening ceremony will be guided with the gentle medicine of ceremonial-grade cacao, supporting us in connecting more deeply with ourselves, the natural world and each other.
During this ceremony, you will sip sacred Ceremonial Cacao and be gently guided through:
A sacred space opening featuring guided meditation.
An invitation to share the vision you’re inviting into the year ahead and have it be honoured in ceremony.
Light breathwork to ground and energize.
A shamanic journey where a spirit animal may reveal itself to guide you through this season of sacred reset and new beginnings.
Sound healing to restore harmony and presence
Please bring:
A cushion or folded blanket to sit on
An eye mask (I will have a supply of disposable ones on hand)
A bottle of water if desired
A notepad for those who like to journal about their experience
An open heart đź’›
Chairs are available for those who require one
For the most heart opening, energizing and meditative effects please eat lightly at least two hours before the ceremony.
Ceremonial cacao is a pure, minimally processed form of cacao (the raw ingredient from which chocolate is made). It comes from whole cacao beans that are roasted at low temperatures, peeled, and ground into a paste — with no processing beyond what’s necessary to maintain its natural integrity and energetic properties.
The cacao served at our ceremony will also contain vanilla, panela (a traditional, unrefined whole cane sugar, commonly used in Latin American countries) and chili powder. This is a completely vegan recipe.
Although Ceremonial Cacao does contains a small amount of caffeine, its stimulating effects are caused by theobromine, a mild cardiovascular stimulant that increases blood flow and heart rate. If you are concerned that you may experience nausea or the jitters while drinking cacao on an empty stomach, have a small snack before ceremony. Cacao is also mildly acidic and can cause digestive discomfort for some if there’s no food in the stomach.
Investment: $20 cash donation at the door covers the cost of the ceremonial grade cacao with the remainder of the proceeds going to CMHA Windsor-Essex County.
