About this Event
We at Southampton’s are excited to be hosting a new . The remit of our work is to provide training and mentoring and fund 4 ‘spoke’ projects that bring together researchers and non-academic music organisations to co-create and deliver impactful public engagement projects focused on social change.
We are determined to be a truly national Hub and in November and December are going out on a mini tour to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to talk about our funding scheme and bring potential collaborators together.
This event at the will involve a series of (hopefully fun and engaging) activities designed to open up conversations between potential academic and non-academic partners. The session is aimed at academics, music organisations, charities and/or freelancers who are potentially interested in applying for our spoke project funding (£75k–100k for each project).
Project leader Erin Johnson-Williams and co-lead Ben Oliver will facilitate the event. Refreshments, including a delicious vegetarian lunch, will be provided!
At the hub we are committed to making our events accessible and inclusive to all. If you are interested in attending but require adjustments or assistance – for example, you need an additional ticket for an assistant, require support with travel arrangements or have additional communication requirements such as a British Sign Language interpreter – please contact [email protected]
If you represent/are part of a small organisation or work as a freelancer, and a small stipend towards, e.g. travel and time spent at the sessions, would enable you to attend, please also let us know at [email protected]
