Join us for a free screening of student-produced film "Fentanyl High" followed by a speakers panel and resource fair.
About this Event

We’re excited to have you join us for the Fentanyl High documentary screening, created by recent Los Gatos High School student Kyle Santoro. This impactful film offers an authentic look at the growing threat of fentanyl-laced substances, sharing real-life perspectives from teens, medical experts, and families who have been affected by the epidemic.

This is a free event, and seats are limited. If you reserve a ticket and cannot attend, please release your ticket. We are overselling the event in anticipation of some no-shows, so there is a chance we may be over capacity. To secure your seat, please plan to arrive on time.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • 5:00–5:20 PM – Admission and Check-In
Doors open at 5:00 PM. We recommend arriving between 5:00 - 5:10pm to allow plenty of time for check-in, snacks, and getting settled. Please head to the check-in station to receive your popcorn and drink ticket. After check-in, you’ll be directed to the popcorn and beverage area before entering the theater.
  • 5:20-5:30 PM - Grab Your Seat The youth welcome speech will begin at 5:20, and the documentary will start promptly at 5:30.
  • 6:45–7:15 PM – Speaker Panel
After the documentary, we will host a speakers panel featuring EMTs, medical providers, behavioral health practitioners, parents who have lost children to overdose, individuals with lived overdose experiences, and bilingual moderators to ensure inclusivity.
  • 7:15–7:30 PM – Resource Fair
Explore resources in the theater lobby, featuring valuable information and support services.

To enhance the experience:

  • One free popcorn and drink for all attendees
  • Spanish subtitles for all screenings
  • Live translation available for Q&A during the speaker panel

This event is presented by the El Dorado Youth Action Council, El Dorado Coalition of Overdose Prevention & Education (COPE), New Morning Youth & Family Services, Minuteman Press, Recovery in Action, Summitview Child & Family Services, Marshall, El Dorado County Office of Education, El Dorado County Health & Human Services, and the El Dorado County Commission for Youth and Families.

We look forward to seeing you there!
