Hi everyone! We are closing out the year with our Community Awards & Ceremony! Woohoo!🤩🤩🤩🥳
Do you know someone that goes above and beyond for our community and would like to acknowledge them? Is there a business that is supportive and welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community and would love to show them some love? Nominations for Community Awards are OPEN NOW through 10PM DEC. 21st!
Join us for the award ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 28th at 3pm at Rainbow Cafe's Community Center! All nominees will receive a certificate of nomination, and category winners will receive an award and gift.

Here are the award categories:
The Community Crusader Award 👈
This award is for an individual who goes above and beyond for those in need of support. This is someone you see out and about in the community, participates in community activities, and will be there, rain or shine. This is someone you can count on to advocate for and uplift the community with compassion, and press on, even when it's hard, creating a path forward for us all.
The Humanitarian Award 🫂
This award is for a community member that is always looking for ways to better our community, combat barriers to access of services, and strives towards not only equality, but equity. This is someone who sees us all, who truly believes there is value in each of us, and works vehemently to bring us closer together.
The Community Impact Award 🤝
This is an award for a community member who believes in perseverance through posterity; this is someone who's impact will be felt for generations to come. This is someone who is working to make this community stronger and accepting of diversity through their role in society, is a positive role model and is there to offer a helping hand, and whose words are as meaningful and as powerful as their actions.
Community Partnership Award (Business) 🏆
The Community Partnership Award is for a business/organization located in southern Illinois that is welcoming and supportive of our LGBTQ+ community, and promotes equality and diversity. This is a business that goes above and beyond to strengthen community partnerships through outreach and networking, and plays a visible role in the community.
