Community Appreciation Day

Crystal wouldn’t be Crystal without our incredible community, as thanks we’re throwing y’all a mountain party! This Labor Day weekend, we’ll have all ages fun for everyone including live music, crafts and interpretive walks plus all Washington State residents receive 50% off Scenic Gondola Tickets!

What to do:
Begin your day with a ride on the Mt. Rainier Gondola that takes you over 2,400 vertical feet to the summit where you will find expansive views of Mt. Rainier and the beautiful Cascade Range.

While you’re up at the mountain enjoy a meal at the Summit House, Washington's highest elevation restaurant or explore our other fun activities such as the Flying Raven Adventure Course, the rock climbing wall, guided hikes, disc golf, mining sluice, and more. View more details

Join the free guided interpretive walks around the summit ridgeline to learn about the local flora and fauna, wildlife, geology and more. Get a personalized experience with our guides as you walk the three-quarter mile loop and discover fascinating facts about the PNW. Each tour will take about one hour to complete and are offered at 10:30 am, 12 pm and 1:30 pm. You can sign up with one of our guides at the top of the gondola. No pre-registration required.

• Comfortable footwear with good traction
• Bring layers (It can get cold in the shade even on hot days)

Who Qualifies: All Washington State residents with a valid Washington ID.

How it works: RSVP online to receive updates such as special activities and weather, arrive at Crystal Mountain on the date of the event, stop in at Guest Services, prove you are a Washington State resident and receive 50% off our scenic Gondola Ticket. Please note, advance reservations are not required, meaning community members are welcome to arrive the day of the event without pre-purchased tickets already in hand.
