June 25th's topic is : Tenancy Law
Are you having issues with your landlord? Living in a mouldy flat? Not getting your bond back?
Our Community Law resident legal housing advocate Clair Caird is coming to Newtown to talk about what your rights are as a tenant, boarder, or flatmate.
The session will cover things like:
• The Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) 1986 – what it covers, and what it doesn’t
• Key changes to the RTA (such as those proposed by the National/Act/NZ First government)
• Healthy homes standards
• Where to go for help, and how Community Law can help you
