About this Event
When it comes to sustainable transport, community groups often tell us it's tricky to know how to make an impact. What tangible actions can be taken to work towards a better, greener transport system? To answer this question, Climate Action Leeds' Transport Sector Organisers are bringing together actors from across the city to share their successes from recent campaigns, community initiatives and research projects.
Speakers and topics;
- Better Buses for West Yorkshire's bus franchising campaign
- Alwoodley 2030's district wide walk to school week
- Friends of Gledhow Woods' road closure for a green fair
- Project leaders of the recently launched INFUZE (Inspiring Futures for Zero Carbon Mobility) research project
Following the presentations there will be facilitated group discussions on the broader topics of campaign work, school community work, and road closures. These will offer an opportunity to explore ways to replicate the work, address challenges, and collaborate for greater impact.
Join us to continue building a movement for a climate and people friendly transport system in Leeds!
