About this Event
Do you know any adults who have trouble communicating with their family or caregivers?
Adults who have difficulty communicating with those around them often feel isolated. They are also more likely to experience greater mental and physical difficulties.
Augmentative alternative communication (AAC) can be a solution. Adults, families and professionals can implement AAC strategies to greatly improve communication and overall quality of life.
Join us for Communication for Life – an experiential workshop on AAC. You will learn techniques and tools to help adults with communication disabilities find ways to express themselves, understand others and fully participate in daily life activities.
This full day, hands-on training workshop focuses on no/low- to mid-tech options that are widely available and relatively low cost. It is suitable for family members, care providers, SLPs, OTs and facility administrators.
Attendance is FREE and CEU credits are available. Lunch is on your own.
