About this Event
Effective communication is about more than just the words you use—it's about how you engage with others to foster connection, build understanding, and achieve shared goals. Most of us rely on instinct or habit when communicating, but every conversation you have shapes how others perceive you and provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships and build trust.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to navigate four common types of conversations—Initiative, Understanding, Closure, and Checking for Understanding—to improve your ability to connect with others in your community and workplace. Whether you’re addressing a neighborhood concern, clarifying responsibilities at work, or resolving conflicts, mastering these conversation types will empower you to communicate more intentionally and effectively. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with strategies to communicate with greater confidence, achieve meaningful outcomes, and create positive interactions in every conversation. Presented by KJR Consulting.
This event is part of the Ascend Community Workshop series. Seats are limited, and pre-registration is required. Refreshments will be available.
