'Fly a Flag for the Commonwealth' is an occasion to acknowledge publicly and collectively the continuing aspiration of the Commonwealth to build on common traditions and uphold our shared values of democracy, inclusive development and respect for diversity.Join the Mayor Blandford Forum, Cllr Nocturin Lacey-Clarke, Councillors, Freemen and local schoolchildren in the front garden of Legion House on Commonwealth Day to fly the Commonwealth Flag whilst the anthem is played.
The Commonwealth Affirmation will be read, along with a message from the Commonwealth Secretary General.
Refreshments will be available in the Overlord Room of Legion House after the event, along with a Commonwealth quiz.
