In celebration of Black History Month, Common Threads brings together the work of Black artists from across the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, exploring themes of Black culture, excellence, and shared experiences. This group exhibition highlights the powerful connection between art and community, showcasing how Kent County is part of broader cultural and ecological conversations that transcend place.Just as the Chesapeake Bay Watershed spans over 64,000 square miles through six states and the District of Columbia, this exhibition reflects the diverse impact and influence of Black artists across this region. Visitors will experience works in various media that center the Black experience while connecting to the expansive ecosystem that unites us all.
Join us in celebrating the creativity, resilience, and critical contributions of Black artists who enrich our shared cultural landscape.
