Susanne van der Meer chose this topic, and she's written an introduction (below) with links to resources, and some comments about the Common Good Café in general:
First of all, we’d like you to remind you that Tom Potter and Susanne van der Meer envision this space as a collaboration with everyone in our community who is interested to spark interesting public conversation in Trinidad.
Here are 3 ways you can contribute the Common Good Café:
1) Invite a guest. Maybe a public artist that you know? Or an aspiring public artist?
2) Suggest and introduce a topic that speaks to you for one of our upcoming Common Good Cafes. Please email to Tom Potter.
3) Prepare a provoking question for the upcoming conversation on February 10.
Reading resources
You are welcome to join with an open mind. If you have a chance to prepare some reading in advance, even better. It always takes our conversations to the next level. Here are some reading suggestions.

Some questions to open our conversation:
What is your most favorite or least favorite public art work in Trinidad? Why?
What is your most favorite or least favorite public art work in our wider region or in Colorado?
Can you think of Places of Possibility for Public Art in Trinidad?
Which direct contributions do works of Public Art make to a community? How can Public Art play a greater role in a community?
Which constraints do you find important for Public Art?
Should Public Art be funded from general public funds?
How do you feel about ownership for Public Art, responsibility to care for, maintain the art (vs. free riding)?
