What is Unity?
Unity isn’t just another employee network—it’s a spirited, inclusive community within CommBank, powered by dedicated volunteers passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and authentic environment for everyone. Our mission is to champion LGBTQIA+ inclusion, so every individual can feel proud to bring their whole selves to work. Through Unity, we’re building a workplace where diversity is celebrated, and individuality is embraced.
Why are we celebrating?
We’re coming together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and individuality, while raising funds towards a fantastic cause with a LGBTI+ charity, The Pinnacle Foundation. This event is more than a night out; it’s a tribute to the progress we’ve made, a toast to being unapologetically ourselves, and a powerful reminder of the importance of allyship. Join us for a night that honours our vibrant community, amplifies pride, and spreads joy!
Who are we raising money for?
By purchasing a ticket, you are contributing to The Pinnacle Foundation, Australia’s foremost LGBTQIA+ educational charity. Pinnacle offers scholarships, mentoring, and transformative opportunities to young LGBTQIA+ Australians, helping them achieve their academic goals and realize their full potential. Your attendance will play a part in creating a brighter future where LGBTQIA+ youth receive the support they need to flourish.
What can I expect on the night?
Prepare for a night packed with excitement, entertainment, and plenty of surprises! Here’s a taste of what we have lined up:
- Dazzling entertainment: Get ready for a night of non-stop show-stopping performances from fabulous drag queens, including Vybe from Drag Race Down Under, plus a dazzling troupe to keep the energy high. We’ll also be announcing some mystery entertainment soon!
- Epic beats: With a fabulous dance floor, dance the night away to our DJ’s killer beats, guaranteed to keep you moving and grooving all night.
- Three-course meal & free-flowing drinks: Enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal with unlimited drinks, making sure the good times keep rolling.
- Miami Vice-themed ballroom: Step into a bold, neon-lit wonderland inspired by the iconic Miami Vice era—expect serious style, colour, and a bit of 80’s retro glamour.
- Fun-filled fundraising: Throughout the evening, you’ll have chances to support amazing organisations through raffles, auctions, and more!
