About this Event
Join us in giving the body permission to release and remembering what safety feels like. Learn how to listen, breathe, communicate through sensation, and respond effectively to the language of your body. Your body already holds the answers. This workshop will help you uncover them with compassion, curiosity, and practices you can carry into your daily life
Our bodies hold the stories of our lives. Every moment of stress, every emotion we weren't ready to feel, and every breath we forgot to take. Trauma informed somatics is about gently meeting those stories, giving the body permission to release, and remembering what safety feels like.In this workshop, you'll learn how your body communicates through the nervous system, fascia, physical sensations, and how to listen and respond to those signals. Along with the practice of movement, it's about understanding your body's language and learning practical tools to regulate your system so you can feel more grounded, balanced, and present.
What you'll experience:
- The language of the body: How the nervous system and fascia store and express stress or trauma.
- Guided self-regulation practices: Breathwork, grounding techniques, and gentle movement to help your body shift into a state of safety.
- Hands-on activities: Interactive exercises that show how you can calm and regulate your own nervous system.
- Somatic yoga practice: A gentle yoga session to close the workshop.
- Take-home resources: A booklet with simple practices to continue exploring and supporting your nervous system at home.
