Wednesday at 6 and Saturday at Noon!Comic Boom! is very excited to announce the start of our new weekly MTG event: Upgrade Challenge League! Upgrade Challenge League is a 5-week event where players start with a Standard deck made of all Common-rarity cards. Each week, players upgrade their decks with 2 Rares and 6 Uncommons, and then play 4 matches with other members of the League!
The main times that League-members gather are Wednesday Night or Saturday afternoon. If you can't make it on Wednesday or Saturday, you can also play matches at Friday Night Magic or Sunday Commander, making it the most flexible Magic format in terms of scheduling!
Upgrade Challenge League is also the cheapest Magic format — all-common decks can be made for less than $10 (even cheaper if you already own lots of commons!). The official Upgrade Challenge Rules can be seen below. The first week begins December 3rd!

Note: for the holiday season, the 4th round will last for 2 weeks instead of 1 (December 24th to January 6th)

Entry: $10 per week ($5 into store credit, $5 into prize pool)
Prizes: Prizes awarded in packs and credit at the end of the league dependant on points
